Duration and Rules of Gujarat Quiz - the worldwide online quiz competition
- The window of G-Q World Module will remain open from 5th September 2011 to 20th October 2011.
- Every participant getting registered shall select his/her Unique ID and password and remember it.
- The marks awarded to the participant shall be based on the parameters mentioned below:
- Total questions received by the participant.
- Number of correct and incorrect answers.
- Time taken for giving answer.
- Every participant, after getting registered, can attempt the quiz twice between 5th September 2011 and 20th October 2011.
- The better of the two attempts will be considered to determine the rank of the participant.
- Every participant will receive a unique question paper for this online quiz competition.
- Participants have Gujarati, Hindi, Sanskrit and English language as options to choose from as a medium of answer.
- The participant’s rank in the competition will be determined on the basis of the given factors.
- Date and time of both the attempts.
- Number of questions received by the participant during both the attempts.
- Number of correct answers given by the participant.
- Total time taken by the participant to give answer.
- Total marks scored by the participant.
- Every participant shall receive an Electronic Participation Certificate (E-certificate) via e-mail.
- For any matter regarding this competition, the decision of the Director, Gujarat State School Textbook Association shall be final and abiding to all.
- Total 20 winners will be selected on the basis of the rank secured by participants. First five from all over Gujarat, first five from all over India except Gujarat, and first ten from all over the world except India will be declared as winners.
- It is mandatory for every participant of the online Gujarat Quiz to provide correct details at the time of registration. The winners will have to produce authentic and certified proof of identity before the organizers. In case of any discrepancy between the details of registration and the proof of identity, the prize of the participant will be canceled. In such case, the respective prize shall be awarded to the participant immediately next to the winner.
- Maximum 20 minutes will be available to attempt the Gujarat Quiz.
- The participant has to answers 50 questions within 20 minutes.
- Select any one language from the language options and click on the “Start” button. The Timer will start upon clicking “Start” button. 20 minutes will be counted after the timer starts.
- The participant will be able to see the timer on the left side of the screen.
- For the selection of winners, apart from the number of correct answers given, the total time taken by the participant for giving the answers will also be considered.
- 10 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. 05 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. 05 marks will be deducted in case of a non-attempted question.
- The participant who completes the quiz in lesser time shall be placed ahead in the merit list in case of two or more participants making equal score.
- The computer server shall generate and analyze the data on the basis of the answers selected by the participant during the online quiz. Through this process the score of each participant will be determined at the time of declaring the result of the competition.
- This result shall be final and abiding to every participant.
Prizes
There are total 20 prizes.
- First five from all over Gujarat.
- First five from all over India except Gujarat.
- First ten from all over the world except India.
Prize is the same for all the twenty winners.
The details of the prize for the positions mentioned above are as follows.
Every winner of the above mentioned position will receive a package of ‘Manpasand Gujarat Darshan’ for five days and four nights for four persons.
This package includes different places of Gujarat of the choice of the winner, comfortable journey through air-conditioned car, lodging and boarding in the best hotel of the concerned place and the services of the local guide.
The winner of this prize can avail the facility of ‘Manpasand Gujarat Darshan’ any time within one year from the date of the declaration of the result. The winner will have to utilize the package of five days and four nights at a stretch without any break in between. The winner will have to reach the nearest airport or railway station in Gujarat at his own expenses.
In order to enable us plan and arrange the tour effectively, it is necessary for the winner to inform us at least fifteen days before the intended date of starting the tour.
• There are 100 Incentive Prizes.
The participants from the countries other than India and the top 100 participants will get the books of the Honourable Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi with his autograph.
